M. Ed Rivas Confirmed as a New Jersey Superior Court Judge

On Monday, October 28^th, the Senate confirmed Governor Murphy’s nomination of M. Ed Rivas as a New Jersey Superior Court Judge.  Judge Rivas will be assigned to the Camden County vicinage.

Prior to being appointed to the bench, Judge Rivas served as a Public Defender in the Camden County Superior court for over twenty-three (23) years.  In September of 2021, after retiring from the Public Defender’s Office, Judge Rivas joined Rosenberg Perry & Associates, LLC, a boutique criminal defense law firm based in Burlington County.  While at Rosenberg Perry, Judge Rivas represented individuals charged with criminal and disorderly persons matters throughout New Jersey.

Judge Rivas will be working with the attorneys at Rosenberg Perry & Associates through Friday, November 1^st to ensure the smooth transition of all of his pending matters.
