The Camden Municipal Court hears the following types of cases.

For the Municipal Court, there is paid street parking or there is a paid parking lot located at 107 North 6th Street, which is found on Market Street between BLM Blvd. and North 6th Street.

To get to the courtroom, you enter city hall, go through security, and take the elevator to the 4th floor.  For Municipal Court appearances, the Court will either schedule the court dates for virtual or in-person appearances. If they are virtual, Camden County utilizes the Zoom platform and will send out the zoom meeting information. For in-person appearances, you have to go to the courthouse.

The Camden Vicinage of the New Jersey Superior Court (105 S 5th St, Camden, NJ 08103) hears cases like:

Parking options for the Superior Court are street parking (paid and hard to find) or lot parking (paid). If you get to the courthouse early, before 8:30 am on a weekday, you may find paid street parking on Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. If you cannot find street parking, there is a paid parking lot at the corner of west street and MLK Blvd., which charges $15.00/day.  Food options are limited, but most days a food truck sits just outside of the courthouse.

For individuals who are in custody, the Camden County Detention Center is located outside of the front of the Superior Court. You can walk from the court to the detention center.  If you are seeking to visit someone in custody, you will need to schedule an appointment.  Visiting times at the Camden County Detention Center depend on where inmates are located.  The visiting times are located on the Jail’s website.  Contact the Visiting Desk directly at (856) 225-7618 or (856) 225-7689 between the following hours to schedule a visitation appointment:

  • 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM

  • 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
