Michael Mink is a seasoned criminal trial lawyer with a dynamic and aggressive approach to defense. With over a decade of experience as an Assistant County Prosecutor, he honed his skills by serving in various critical units at the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, including the Motions and Appeals Unit, Juvenile Unit, Grand Jury Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, Major Crimes Unit, and Trial Team.
Throughout his career at the Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Mink has been a pivotal member of the Trial Team Unit, managing thousands of cases involving serious offenses such as murder, robbery, sexual assault, and drug crimes. His extensive trial experience and legal expertise also positioned him as a mentor and advisor to new prosecutors, providing invaluable guidance in trial preparation and strategy.
With a deep understanding of the formidable power of the State, Mr. Mink is dedicated to ensuring that every individual is granted their constitutional protections. He recognizes the uniqueness of each case and is committed to providing comprehensive defense strategies that consider both legal and factual issues, as well as the personal circumstances and specific needs of his clients.
In addition to his prosecutorial experience, Mr. Mink served as counsel to the State Commission of Investigation (“SCI”), leading intricate investigations into corruption, government waste, and organized crime in New Jersey. His efforts at the SCI contributed to significant legislative reforms and enhanced accountability.
Mr. Mink’s commitment to justice is highlighted by his extensive training in criminal investigations and trial work. He has successfully completed the “Finding Words” Forensic Interview Training Course, which has equipped him with specialized skills for interviewing child sexual assault victims. In addition to his training, Mr. Mink has shared his expertise as an instructor at the Camden County Police Academy and the New Jersey State Police Academy in Sea Girt, New Jersy.
Prior to his criminal law career, Mr. Mink served as an intern with the Department of Homeland Security leading to a position as an associate practicing immigration law in New York City. During that time, Mr. Mink represented hundreds of clients in interviews before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) as well as in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Charlotte and Chicago. Through this experience Mr. Mink developed his ability to listen to each client and provide them with the individualized representation everyone deserves.
Mr. Mink’s dedication to the law and staunch advocacy for his clients make him a powerful presence in the courtroom and a trusted ally in navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system.
